Abstract

Developing Practicum Tutorial Video For High School Students On The Human Blood Circulation In The Eleventh Graders Of Science Class To Support Biology Learning In The Covid-19 Pandemic Time. The government requires educators to use technology-based e-learning such as a practicum tutorial video for students. The purpose of this study was to develop a tutorial video for a practicum on human blood circulation material for high school students in the eleventh grade of IPA class in order to support Biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was a research and development using the ADDIE model having five stages, namely: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The instrument of the study used a questionnaire and test. The questionnaire was used as the measurement of learning media in the form of a tutorial video, and the test was used as a cognitive (knowledge) measurement. Based on the results, the video tutorial practicum had a good score of 3 tested by media and material experts, a score of 3.66 in the very good category assessed by the teachers, an average score of 2.96 with the results in the good category assessed by the students. Thus, the developed practicum tutorial video is feasible as the learning medium on human blood circulation material for practicum activity during the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to describe the increase in student activity and learning outcomes through distance learning using the WhatsApp and Google form applications during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class X TKRO 3 SMKN 1 Bulakamba Academic Year 2020/2021. This research is a quantitative study using descriptive methods. This research is a quantitative study using descriptive methods with operational stages: (1) preparing a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). (2) preparing learning materials, assignments and daily tests. (3) upload learning materials on the class WhatsApp group. (4) students study learning materials using cellphones / laptops. (5) monitoring the implementation of the learning process. (6) students work on and upload assignments. (7) provide daily feedback and tests using Google form. The implementation of distance learning with the WhatsApp and Google form applications can increase student learning activities from 88.89% to 93.52% or an increase of 5.20% and can increase the average value of learning outcomes from 77.53 to 80.13 or increased by 3.34%.

Abstract

The magnetic method has been applied to the estimation of subsurface rocks in North Pura, Alor Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). The magnetic survey was performed using Proton Precession Magnetometer (PPM) type G-19T and measured on 54 magnetic stations. The magnetic data were processed by diurnal correction, IGRF correction, upward continuation, and 2D data modeling. The results showed that total magnetic intensity ranged from 50 nT to 770 nT. The regional anomaly contour map showed at the research area was dominated by the moderate anomaly. Estimation of subsurface profiles has been 2D forward modeling used regional anomaly of a contour map. The results showed that subsurface rocks in the research area. It's suspected was three types of rock in the research area as the volcanic sandstone, volcanic breccias, and basalt with a contrast susceptibility value of 0.0001 cgs unit, 0.0015 cgs unit, 0.0278 cgs unit, 0.0091 cgs unit, 0.0099 cgs unit, and 0.0134 cgs unit. The research study is expected to provide information for the local government especially in north Pura for in the existence of groundwater, depth and distribution of subsurface rocks.

Abstract

This study is intended to determine the effectiveness of using the project-based learning module viewed from the Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) skills of students. The study employs a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 35 students of SMAN (State Senior High School) 1 Andong. There were six aspects of SEPs use in this study: asking questions and defining problems (SEP-1), developing and using models (SEP-2), planning and carrying out investigations (SEP-3), analyzing and interpreting data (SEP-4), constructing explanations and designing solutions (SEP-6), and Obtaining, evaluating and communicating information (SEP-8). The question instrument in this study was 13 two-tier multiple-choice (TTMC) test items developed corresponding to the science and Engineering Practices skills indicators in California Science Test Practices. The results of the study uncovered that the N-Gain value was 0.52, which means that the increase in the students’ SEPs skills was in the medium category. The enhancement of each aspect of SEPs N-Gain was SEP-1: 0.54; SEP-2; 0.54; SEP-3: 0.49; SEP-4: 0.51; SEP-6: 0.53; and SEP-8: 0.56.

Abstract

Calvatia is known as one of epigeous puffball. It is classified in Basidiomycota division and Lycoperdaceae Family. This research aimed to characterize the Calvatia species based on morphological data. Fruiting bodies of Calvatia were grown on the grass with single colony and sometimes gregarious manner.Fruiting bodies of Calvatia were collected, observed, and preserved using FAA. Fruiting bodies were collected for immature and mature stages. The particular Calvatia  looked like pear-shaped or puffball-shaped and cream to brownish outside. The basidiospores are produced in a gasterothecium. The immature fruiting body has the brown to yellow gasterothecium. The mature fruiting body has the yellow to brown colour. The gasterothecium bore the basidiospore like a dust. Basidiospore is finely globose and free of ornament. The specimen was identified as Calvatia rugosa.
